The ability to communicate in English at a high level is necessary for success in the program.
Programs for high school students: The admissions committee will be able to assess an applicant’s writing abilities through their academic achievement, standardized test results and written essay.
Program for college students: English proficiency required for non-native English speakers, pass CET4, CET6 / TOEFL (85) / IELTS (6.5) preferred.
Programs for high school students: For applicants whose secondary language is not English or who reside in a country/region where English is not the official language, submission of TOEFL or IELTS test scores may prove helpful to the admissions committee. However, this material is not a prerequisite for admission.
In order to ensure the quality of teaching, we expect to enroll about 60 students in each session.
The 2026 GSI operates on a first-come, first-reviewed basis with selective admissions.
Results will be announced via email by the beginning of the month following application submission.
During this period, ensure the email address you provided is valid and monitor your inbox promptly to avoid missing any important updates.
Include: Tuition, visit fee, accommodation, partial catering costs, study materials, insurance, etc.
Exclude: Travel to and from Kunshan, personal expenses and expenses not mentioned, etc.
DKU currently does not provide scholarships or financial assistance for the Global Summer Institute.

2) Withdrawal due to special circumstances:
高水平的英语交流能力是成功完成该课程的必要条件。
高中生项目：录取委员会将通过申请者的学业成绩、标准化考试成绩和200词自我介绍来综合评估其英语能力。
本科生项目：非英语母语者需通过大学英语四级、六级考试，或托福（85分）/雅思（6.5分）者优先。
高中生项目：对于母语为非英语的申请者，录取委员会将一定程度上参考所提交的托福或雅思考试等语言成绩。但是，这一材料并不是录取的必要条件。
为了保证教学质量，2026暑期项目预计每期招收约 60 名学生。
审核结果将在提交申请后的次月初以电子邮件的形式公布，请注意查收邮件。
在此期间，请确保您提供的电子邮件地址有效，并及时查看收件箱，以免错过任何重要信息。
包括：学费、参访费、住宿费、部分餐饮费、学习材料、保险费等。
不包括：往返昆山的交通费、个人费用和未提及的费用等。
昆山杜克大学目前不为全球暑期学校提供任何奖学金或经济资助。
高中生项目：不收取额外的申请费用。被录取并选择入学的申请者需要在邮件内的缴费截止日期前缴纳学费（已包含 2000 元押金）。

2）特殊情况退款：
若学生因特殊情况导致无法继续参与本项目，可提交书面申请退款，经提交有效证明材料并通过项目组审核后，已支付的费用可全额退款（含定金 ：高中生项目为2000元；本科生项目为1000元）。特殊情况包括但不限于以下情形：
项目组将在收到学生申请及相关证明材料审核通过后，于 15个工作日内全额退款。
3）项目取消或因不可抗力终止：
此类退款将无需学生发起申请，项目组将主动联系相关学生确认退款信息，并在项目取消确认后的15个工作日内完成退款处理。
