  • 2019-Present: Assistant Director for Graduate EAP/Senior Lecturer of English Language, Duke Kunshan University, responsible for leading the graduate EAP team and teaching forensic science and language teaching undergraduate courses.
  • 20178-2019: Adjunct English Language Lecturer, New York University Shanghai, responsible for teaching a range of English language course across levels.
  • 2012-2019: Programme Leader BA(Hons) International Business Communication, Business Development Lead, University of Central Lancashire, responsible for managing the franchised 3-year UK degree program and for establishing, maintaining and enhancing academic partnerships throughout China.
  • 2010-2012: English for Academic Purposes Lecturer, Guangdong University of Foreign studies, responsible for teaching EAP courses for various British and American university joint programs.

Research Areas​​

  • Core Focus: Higher education assessment, focusing on feedback, specifically second language student feedback literacy, teacher feedback literacy, and feedback culture within Sino-foreign higher education contexts.
  • Key Projects: Investigation of Sino-foreign higher education EAP feedback culture, Led dialogic feedback implementation and collaborative research projects at DKU and Duke.
  • Interdisciplinary: Core member of DKU’s Institute of Global Higher Education (IGHE) Pedagogical Research and Practice Lab, led an interdisciplinary teaching cohort on community-based teaching at DKU, member of a Jiangsu Education Department funded community-based teaching research project.
