  • 2021-2025: Assistant professor at the School of Economics and Trade at Hunan University
  • 2019-2021: Postdoctoral researcher at Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on the health impacts of industrial pollution and how public health insurance mitigates the impacts

Research Areas​​

  • Core Focus: Environmental economics and health economics. She studies questions related to environmental regulations and policy, firm behavior, and health impacts of pollution.
  • Current Projects: Her current projects focus on evaluating the health impacts of industrial pollution emission (especially several toxic chemicals), and analyzing the location decisions of polluting firms as well as the response of households to industrial pollution and environmental information on health.

Additional Information​​

Prof. Wang’s research has been published in leading academic journals including the Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal Environmental Economics and Management, the Review of Environmental Economics and Policy, and Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economics. Her projects have been funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
